After much anticipation, hit filmmaker AR Murugadoss has revealed his plans after the release of the upcoming movie ‘Spyder’ starring Mahesh Babu. The director has now announced that his next film will be a Tamil movie with ‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay. ‘Vijay 62’ as it is known now, will be the third film of Vijay – Murugadoss team after ‘Thuppaki’ and ‘Kaththi.’
In a recent interview to Indiaglitz, Murugadoss has said that he is currently working on the pre-production of the Vijay film and he will completely involve in it only after the release of ‘Spyder’.
‘Vijay 62’ was speculated to be a sequel of his hit film ‘Thuppaki’ which also starred Vijay. The director has now confirmed the new film will deal with a fresh subject and it is too early to reveal more.
The shooting of ‘Vijay 62’ which is now at the scripting stage is expected to kick off by January 2018.
Meanwhile, both Murugadoss and Vijay are currently busy with promotions of their respective upcoming films. Murugadoss’s upcoming film ‘Spyder’ starring Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preeth Singh is scheduled to hit screens on 27 September 2017.
Vijay, on other hand, has ‘Mersal’ as his upcoming release in which he will be seen in triple role. The movie, directed by Atlee will be released on 18 October and has Nithya Menen, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal as the lead heroines.
