If you are an average Malayali, you have watched and loved the boys of Kammatipaadam. The movie was in the news for all the right reasons last year. A career-best performance by Vinayakan earned him the Kerala State Award for best actor. That coupled with the stellar effort put in by Dulquer Salmaan easily made Kammatipaadam one of the best movies of last year. An honest way method of storytelling, the raw portrayal of human emotions and realistic depiction of incidents added to the nuances of KP.
But if you are anything like me, you would find that KP left a little ache somewhere in your heart. After having lost his first love, did Krishnan find solace in another woman? What became of Anitha? Where is Rosamma now?
Well, here is some good news for you. Indian Cinema Reviews can exclusively confirm that a 4-hour uncut version of the movie is being released on DVD. The makers promise that if you loved the theatrical version, you will enjoy the uncut one more. Let us hope that there are answers to at least some of the questions plaguing us. I, for one, am looking forward to watching the movie and hoping that it will ease my heartache a little bit. Let us know what you think.
